Without a doubt, the amazing trees are offshoots from the same ones that Jesus prayed next to. Across the lane is a less-frequented grove, where arrangements can be made to spend a more private time of worship and contemplation. Could you not watch one hour? Gethsemane is the name of the garden, as written in the New Testament, where Jesus prayed last before His arrest Mark From the Scriptures we read; Then Jesus went with his disciples to a place called Gethsemane, and he said to them, "Sit here while I go over there and pray. Then he said to them, "My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me. Yet not as I will, but as you will. The Kidron Valley, which surrounds Jerusalem to the east, separates the Mount of Olives from the city and from the nearby Mount Zion, located to the south, from where Jesus set off on foot after the Last Supper, crossing the Valley to reach Gethsemane.
Adjacent to the garden is the Basilica of the Agony also known as the Church of all Nations, a Roman Catholic Church that enshrines a section of the bedrock where is believed Jesus prayed before his arrest.

The will of the Father would be done no matter what, Jesus was saying, and there was no point in resisting or causing further bloodshed.

Today, the Garden of Gethsemane is a holy place, a pilgrimage site where people flock today to wander among still-growing olive trees and try to pinpoint the exact place where Jesus sank to His knees or offered Himself willingly over for arrest and sacrifice. Whether they travel to the accurate location or not, or simply read about it, for many Christians meditating upon the Garden of Gethsemane and its importance to Jesus is a significant step in understanding the actions, the message, and the will of Christ.
