Can you trade motes of harmony

In other news, probably better uses for 3 Spirits of Harmony for 1 Restored Artifact when of them yielded nothing. Unless you're desperate. These also may not decrease in price as much as you might think as they are used for Royal Satchel s, which tailors will likely continue to make throughout Warlords. Comment by tmmrtn Why is there a market for these still in Warlords?

Comment by Iketani As of 6. Comment by snurt I'm posting to try to unravel a mystery that may just stem from my own ignorance. Or maybe I missed a blue post or minor patch-notes nerf in the 6. What gives? Can Spirits be bought at all? If not, can WoWhead please end my agony by correcting its database? Comment by vikn Drastic price surges For future reference: As I'm writing this we're just over three months into Legion.

Some background As many already new expansions brings price changes to some older trade goods. Generally the goods of the previous expansion. Roughly speaking, either a previous useful trade goods becomes trash or a trade goods highly farmed becomes scarce and gains an increase in value. The long term effect of inflation also brings price changes to trade goods. Main point Interestingly enough, as I looked over the prices of a number of useful MoP trade goods two expansions back.

I noticed a drastic surge in price coinciding with the Legion release date September 1th Similar price increases can be seen on some trade goods from other expansions. Though the pattern isn't as clear. Three additional notes on the subject: 1.

This can in no way be explained by inflation as it has not effected other types of items in any similar way. With the release of Legion, wow saw a surge in returning players. The time between the last patch of WoD 6. This even caused some backlash due to players complained on the lack of new content. Speculation Why? My assumption would be that the drastic overnight changes was largely brought on due to the lack of content in WoD forcing people out into the older zones.

Creating a strong supply of such materials. Thus keeping prices down for an extended period of time. And with the burst of content brought by Legion people quickly left the old zones causing supply to fall drastically.

Perhaps the large number of returning players and the implementation of the wardrobe function led to an increased demand for such trade gods.

Which down the line often is crafted into transmog or mounts. Future meaning If this becomes a reoccurring pattern it would be theoretically be possible to double or even triple your gold in just weeks or months by investing in the correct trade goods before the launch of a new expansion.

Your experiences Me personally haven't seen such a clear pattern between a release date and skyrocketing prices on items unaffected by the release before.

Have you noticed similar occurrences during previous expansions? What do you think is the probable driving force behind it? Can it be mimicked for your gain during future expansions? Comment by Ravendell If you are farming these, I came up with a hint that might help you a little bit.

Create a character trial monk. Hearthstone - this unlocks the temporarily locked skills in your spellbook. Zen pilgrimage 4. Mount up and fly north to Isle of Giants Isle of Giants 5. Kill dinosaurs for Giant Dinosaur Bone - I'm conducting Why are you looking at me like that? We've had this conversation before. I did the math. I need exactly bones. Fewer would be inadequate. More would be absurd. Visit Ku'ma Ku'ma. He will give you 2 daily quests that rewards 1 mote and 1 spirit 7.

Garrison Hearth 8. Mail your spirit and mote to your main. Log out and delete character It might not be the most efficient way of doing things, but it's not too bad.

I haven't compared the efficiency of this method to those of farming, so I'm not responsible for any decrease of productivity if you try my method. Please reply with statistic and see if my method is worthwhile. Comment by ThexPiedDroit A very good way to farm those, i found, is to farm the trash at the beginning of Heart of Fear, in 25 heroic they do seem to loot more on heroic mode. There are really tons of mobs, neatly stacked up, and it's at the very beginning of the raid so it's a short run to clean, get out and reset.

Doing that, i collect around 10 to 20 motes per run which takes around 1 or 2 minutes, counting the time to get back out. I cleared the whole raid on heroic and got 12 motes for the effort My strategy has been to farm all the mats myself and then offer the mounts at half the markup they're usually sold for. Because that's how I roll. If you aggressively farm the Direhorn Mounts from Zandalari Warbringers, or if you aggressively kill Rares in Pandaria for any other reason, you will build up an inventory of Motes of Harmony.

This isn't an efficient way to farm them, but it's useful if you're doing other things in Pandaria. If you're willing to put one or more alt through the Tillers reputation, you can pay a bit less than 50 silver for each Mote of Harmony at the rate of 16 Motes a day per alt with a finished farm.

If you want to farm dungeons aggressively, I bow to Fortuna, but in my five months of experience I get a lot more Motes of Harmony by farming the first bit of Heart of Fear than I get by farming the first bit of Mogu'shan Vaults. I've convinced myself that I get more Motes by killing efficiently, but of course that's all just my projection onto Fortuna.

Comment by So i think i figured something out. I noticed that when I kill stuff in the pens I get bones and teeth when I move to the shrine i get motes.

Yep motes. So I am fighting at this spot and out of 16 battles, of the same ol thing, I've gotten motes 14 times Which would account for the low drop rate.

Do it yourself grind one NPC in one area and move and grind the same NPC and see if your drops percenteges dont change. You draw your own conclusions but i'm adjusting my grind strategy. Comment by Foxearedass It seems that people have completely underestimated the value of spending 5 minutes every week doing Key to the Palace of Lei Shen.

If done correctly, it's a good g for 5 mins work. Comment by Mike21daisu Doing normal scenarios is the best way to farm Mote of Harmony , after you complete the scenario you will get Greater Cache of Treasures in which there will be around 5 Mote of Harmony.

You can do normal scenario runs as many times as you want, it is 3 times faster than farming it anywhere else, I wonder why people haven't figured this out yet Just get a nice group or just join as a good DPS or Tank to finish the scenario quickly. Plus, you will also get x60 Justice Points , gold and random rare or epic items. This is also my first time writing a comment and wanted to make sure it worked!

Comment by xblessedx Wanna farm these like there is no tomorrow, go to the thunder island and go to the zone where you get transformed into a lizard. There, in the beach and around, there are a ton of those lizards where you can pull nice groups and get motes easily.

Battle Horn is great to have if you're a tank. Comment by MrsTiger Hello all in addition to the 16 Mote of Harmony u can "make" a day at the tillers once u are exalted with Tillers. U can also once a day deliver on Isle of Giants : 9 Giant Dinosaur bones to get one Mote of Harmony 99 Giant Dinosuur bones to get one Spirit of Harmony so in motes thats another 11 motes a day. Comment by Ryusan If you do not like killing monsters to farm Mote of Harmony , running scenarios for Greater Cache of Treasures is probably the best item in game to get Mote of Harmony.

With the exception of planting Songbell Seed for the motes with a maximum of 16 per day. Complete a scenario, obtain Greater Cache of Treasures and receive motes. From my experience, I receive about per cache on average. Pretty nice as scenarios normally last minutes. So about 20 motes or 2 Spirit of Harmony in an hour. Recently though, even with a Potion of Luck I seem to be getting very little. They didn't change the drop rate of anything at all did they?

Just curious :. If you take a toon that is a tailor, you will farm up lots of cloth, motes have a very decent drop rate, Guo-Lai keys drop off these mobs, a decent amount of greens, the Skyshards also drop here as well in addition to a fairly fast spawning batch of rare mobs in the area that can drop Treasure of the Vale. This makes a pretty well rounded farming area, as the chests opened by the keys drop motes as well as a wide variety of all crafting mats and a decent amount of Treasures of the Vale boxes.

All the while you are able to continue to acquire Skyshards either for your own Alani mount or to sell the kill. Comment by dukeargyll At the very least they should make items like this BoA with the final Spirit of Harmony soulbound so they can be sent to crafter alts. Even making the motes BoE would be a great economy booster. People without alts could sell off their motes to crafters, who in turn would convert them making them soulbound.

Comment by Balgair In Warlords of Draenor beta these are unbound! Comment by I like how you get these by killing things. Comment by frexima Looking to farm them? Comment by martanius You can "farm" these by opening Greater Cache of Treasures that is reward for completing normal scenarion.

It is not daily limited. But it probably is possible untill WoD patch 6. Comment by Asylumsix Now unbound. No binding. They come in packs of ish and usually drop motes oh harmony per group. They also drop a fair amount of Huge Horn. Drop rates are now trash Hope this helps. Comment by selkie47 So far for me the best place has been northern barrens. Decent drop rate of greens, motes and windwool from the hellscream orcs there.

Up on the side of the cliffs above morshan ramparts the warsong pvp vendor. Comment by gwendseli Trash in Heart of Fear 10N, before first boss, has been averaging me 7 per clear. Fast run out and reset :. You can pick Key to the Palace of Lei Shen which can give you between keys.

Running the Scenario gives me, on average, motes and gold. A nice profit! Comment by vikn Drastic price surges For future reference: As I'm writing this we're just over three months into Legion. Just clear and loot all the trash before the first boss which takes around and minutes then go back and reset.

Each run will get you between 10 and 20 Motes, so after 20 to 30 minutes of farming don't forget the 10 dungeons per hour limit you will have an average of Motes. Comment by Magneith By now, most s should be able to easily farm Heart of Fear trash on 25 heroic.

Be careful not to engage the first boss when you kill the last pack. About min per clear will get you Spirit of Harmony , Mote of Harmony. I've had up to 24 Mote of Harmony in a clear. Why does this matter these days? Some of the old MoP craftables like Ruby Panther are still quite popular and require high end materials like Living Steel. These are perfect for the Riddle of Steel transmute!

I farm here with all 12 of my characters sometimes to get the Mote of Harmony Crafting Reagents That gets me per day, so I can make the Spirit of Harmony crafting Reagents by using the Songbell Seeds, for my Tailor to help make the Imperial Silk for the 28 slot bags:. Comment by costa52 For those that do not run Heart of Fear. Very fast and easier way to farm are Stout Shaghorn at Kunzen Hills in Valley of the Four Winds which is popular daily questing area for Halfhill quests.

These mobs are neutral yellow spawning in groups of 6. Spawn rate is very fast, say around 1 min. There packs in the area. At least the rate was that high of me, spending couple hrs to farm for my engineering recipes.

Comment by JustBecause I found Skyrange to be a good spot for grinding. It's in Valley of the Four Winds and the monkeys respawn almost immediately and there are also nodes for mining and lots of animals to skin. It's just a good area for grinding lots of things not just motes. Comment by mleger As of 7. Join a 'frog group' and kill the frogs in the back. Due to their high re-spawn rate the Mote of Harmony tend to drop pretty fast in large groups there. Don't forget your Bear Tartare.

Comment by vikn After trying out the Heart of Fear farm I have to say it's quite underwhelming nowadays. The idea is simple you enter the raid kill all thrash up to first boss, loot and repeat nine more times. Heart of Fear 25 Hc 10 runs: motes of harmony. But wouldn't expect them to sell. A pretty decent amount of looted gold, which is great if your working on an achivement for that, around k Big downside here is that it takes quite some time running back to the instance portal to reset.

More MoP greens you could ever need, around , example Temple Helm. Great if you can push them as transmog, usless to disenchant, realistically you'll probably vendor these.

Tons of Ghost Iron lockboxes, say , more looted gold for your achivements, and more usless MoP greens. Around 2 BoE blues, example Fist of Fate. I'd say you're more likely to sell these as they come in all types of slots and in greater variety than the epic bracers, wowhead says around 30k each. About the same amount of looted gold, not counting lockboxes. Big upside you'll get there faster and you don't have to run out of the instance to reset it, just leave group and quee again. Big upside again is the time, you can do your 10 LFR runs in 20 min, probably faster with the right class.

So in my opinion you want to be looking at the LFR, it's faster and has better and more diverce additional loot. You'll get a decent hourly rate of gold but a lot of it won't be in motes of harmony but in added loot.

And you can only do it for 20 minutes each hour so that's a big downside. Comment by quinlin56 I'm not usually one to leave comments, but i feel this one has been missed and thought i'd share.

I was farming windwool cloth in Sra'vess in Townlong steppes just west of Niuzao Temple but i also noticed that whilst i was farming, i'd gathered 41 motes of harmony within 30 minutes, absolutely shattering anywhere else i'd tried. Absolutely loads of enemies in close proximity, pretty speedy respawn time too, and any enemy has a chance of dropping motes. So if you're needing motes of harmony, I highly recommend here.

Comment by omgitstraxx As of 8. Just set to 25 N or H, kill all the quilen mobs before the Quilen boss but do not kill the Quilen boss. Run out of the instance, Reset raid instance and head back in and kill all the quilen again.

You can get motes each time you clear the quilen mobs. Plus you'll get a ton of greens worth about g each if you vendor. After 5 resets the raid will lock you out for 30 minutes. After the lockout you can get 5 more farms in again. You can also come in on different characters and keep farming while 1 is locked out.

Comment by Kasstarix Since I don't see it on here, I'll add that by far the best place to farm these is Mogu'shan Vaults. Head there with a high-level toon, set raid difficulty to 25M, and go into the first room.

Kill all mobs in the first room! In 25M, there are four large Quilen walking around - you can kill them too. You'll get between usually not more than 8 but it has happened! Motes of Harmony, and you can combine them into Spirits of Harmony. You'll also get g worth of vendor trash and transmog on each run. It adds up! You can do it ten times an hour, like any other raid instance.

Clear all trash till 1st boss. Seems still good enough. Comment by Wolfenstein I have 6 alts. I invested in developing the Half Hill farm for all of them. They plant Songbell seeds X8 each day and each get 8 motes the next day. So 48 motes per day. That's another 66 motes per day so there is now motes per day or 21 Spirits of Harmony on the account. I used to run Heart of Fear and other mob packs in Pandaria but despite what recent posts say, they are not economical.

If you are a goblin and want to run stuff, run Volatiles and Motes of Fire etc. Here is the list of crafting materials you can obtain in exchange of 1 Spirit of Harmony :. Now serious, on wowhead this is not updated yet and it still shows as a reagent for a bunch of crafting professions.

Can this still be used for that or is there now another reagent that replaces this a MoP version of Chaos Orb. Spirit of Harmony is also used to buy your "high end" profession recipes.

I took the screenshots minutes before posting them! In fact, my Priest is still sat afk at that spot. Do you know if there's something similar for other professions? I checker for Engineering and Jewelcrafting, but the supply vendors were not selling recipes. Don't see any extra recipes at the Enchanting supplier.

I don't have any other professions maxed out to check on beta at this time. Thanks for the information anyway! I think that a lot of people will search on google for Spirit of Harmony and Mote of Harmony after the release of MoP. So I made a quick post about it providing everything I knew :P. I'll update once I know whether Blacksmithing and Leatherworking can also buy recipes with Spirit of Harmony. Am in the process of copying one on my Blacksmiths over to the beta realms.

Will hopefully be able to answer it soon. Do you know if there will be a list of which mobs or which level mobs drop Motes most frequently? I can see Blacksmithing and Engineering recipes that can be learned from the trainers in Stormwind that require Spirits of Harmony to make. I have only quested in 3 of the different zones so far, and have seen motes drop from all different types of monsters, with an equal drop rate.

I think that all mobs have a chance to drop it. I've looted around Motes on my main so far, and I can't say I noticed mobs that drop it more frequently than others. Yes, you do need Spirit of Harmony to buy the high level Blacksmith recipes.

All the recipes sold are for the season 12 PVP gear only. And you do not need Spirit of Harmony to make the recipes - only to buy them with. But i think would be better if the motes and the spirits are bind on account.

This way, when questing with a char that have herb and mining for porffesions we could send to some other toon that will use to craft things. You can always redeem the tokens on your main and send the mats you obtained to your alts, although it doesn't work for things like Ironpaw Tokens ;. I'm mildly concerned that these things will be so farmable that we're back to a mandatory grind for maximizing professions.

You can always redeem the tokens on your main and send the mats you obtained to your alts, although it doesn't work for things like Ironpaw Tokens. Yes, but would be nice send the Spirit of Harmony too. As with any new expansion, we often find that we have an opportunity to take a closer look at a variety of game systems within World of Warcraft and explore new ideas or improvements to the game.

One system in particular is held near and dear to the hearts of the community: professions. With Mists of Pandaria, the designers were able to seize upon an opportunity to look at the role of materials and refine their purpose and their usefulness. In the end, they came up with Spirit of Harmony as the new resource du jour. By now, any experienced crafter is used to filling bags with a variety of materials such as Primal Life, Primal Fire, Primal Earth, etc.

Spirit of Harmony is the result of the designers simplifying an already complex system while still keeping a wide variety of possibilities open to players. Much like with other Primals, Motes of Harmony can be combined 10 to 1 to create one Spirit of Harmony.

Intially, we want crafters to be out in the world adventuring instead of camping out in front of an auctioneer, hoping to score some cheap mats.

We understand that this may be of concern to those who play a variety of profession alts, and may consider other options for the future, including the possibility of allowing Spirits of Harmony to be Bind to Account in a future patch. In addition to serving as a core crafting ingredient, Spirits of Harmony can also be used to purchase a variety of additional bonuses or materials that your character may need.

While not every profession will get equal value out of them, most everyone will need to collect them for one reason or another. Purchasing materials may not ultimately be the most efficient way to gain resources, but it can be an added convenience to purchase something with Spirit of Harmony rather than going back into the world to get it.

I hope they don't wait too long to make the spirits or motes bind to account, that will really help with alts. Besides that I think it is a great system, some professions might have a bit less of an advantage, but you can always use the spirits to buy materials for your other professions or to sell on the auction house.
