Stendarr's equivalent to the Nords is Stuhn, the brother of Tsun and a warrior god who fought against the Aldmeri pantheon of gods. According to their religion, Stuhn taught man the benefits of war, including taking prisoners. This version of Stendarr is very different from the Imperial interpretation of him , which most likely stems from the Nordic's love of battle and conquest compared to the Imperial's stance on royalty and rule.
After the player enters Fort Dawnguard, they can listen in on a conversation between Isran and Vigilant Tolan where he tells Isran that the Hall of the Vigilants has been destroyed, with the majority of the Vigilants now dead. He also mentions that Keeper Carcette, the head of the Skryim branch, was one of those killed in the vampire attack.
However, if players go to the now destroyed Hall of the Vigilants, Keeper Carcette's body is nowhere to be found, indicating that she might not be as dead as Tolan thinks she is.
Towards the end of Dimhollow Crypt, the player can walk in on two vampires interrogating a Vigilant known as Brother Adalvald, who had a strong feeling that the dungeon held significant importance to vampires. Near his body is a book titled Notes on Dimhollow Crypt, Vol 3, but there is a slight problem with his ability to count since there isn't a volume 1 or 2 at all in the game.
It could simply have been removed from the game, but considering how laser-focused he was on Dimhollow Crypt, he may have forgotten to write parts 1 and 2 altogether. Aside from the Daedric quests, you should also do the following:.
Dawnguard: While relations between you and Isran are tense, you both agree that the vampires are a threat that must be destroyed. When entering the Soul Cairn, become partially soul trapped instead of a vampire, and have Serana cure herself after the questline. A Shrine of Stendarr, standing out against the darkness. Glad to see these guys get some direct attention. I have respect for them, even though they're used over and over as cannon fodder for various plots. When I started this build, I was thinking to myself "at least they get to destroy one Daedric Artifact" but then I remembered that Erandur was a priest of Mara, not a Vigilant. Why didn't I think of that? It only needs two words so there's no need to do Hermaeus Mora's bidding to get the one in Apocrypha. Thanks for the tip!
Really nice presentation. Love the gear selection as well. Can you really get displayed AR on each of the boots and gauntlets?! I would've guessed for the two combined.
This is very well put together -- you do a great job getting optimal utility out of the gear and skill selection. Great enchantment placement too. Just very tight and orderly. Not much else to say other than you've definitely earned a like from me, Al!
Glad you liked it! Yes, believe it or not, you can get AR on each of them. Granted, that's an endgame number and it requires just about every trick in the book short of Fortify Restoration loops, but it's impressive nonetheless. That being said, if the player has Ancient Knowledge patched, then it becomes significantly more difficult. Glad to see someone stepping up, and making a viable start to end Vigilant build.
I'm loving the approach with the Daedric Artifacts. They do take part in the Dawnguard DLC though. User Info: aenimis. While you cannot officially join them, one of the best things about the Elder Scrolls is you can play however you want. So if you want to act like a Vigilant, throw on some apprentice or Novice Hunt down all manner of evil creatures across Skyrim and destroy all of your Daedric artifacts or meet a Vigilant on your travels while using an artifact and hand them over.
I would assume they use healing spells and wards, alteration spells like stoneflesh and above all, show evil no mercy! I'd be willing to bet you could find a lore friendly build online by googling it. Damn, well I guess I could start a vigilant build, I'll probably finish up my thief build first. I don't want to have too many builds at once. User Info: sconekiller.

Daedra hunting as a DLC? Alawishous Alawishous 1. None of the wikis mention this being possible, and I've killed far more than 30 daedra without it occurring. Could you please provide some form of verification?
